Futaba has been designing and manufacturing radio remote controls with exceptional quality and features since 1962. In 1982, we expanded our markets when a major boom truck manufacturer solicited Futaba and asked if we could apply our radio frequency (RF) technology and expertise to control the boom on their trucks. We successfully developed a custom radio remote control system tailored to their application for the boom and hoist mechanisms.
Since then, we have developed numerous, custom, RF products for industrial original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) as well as a standard product line of industrial-grade radio remote controls. We have expanded the breadth and depth of our product line to include not only multi-channel manual radio remote controls (referred to as telecontrols), but also spread spectrum technology wireless data communication systems (commonly referred to as wireless modems or radio modems).
