The GBC CHALLENGE U is the upside down version of the ordinary plate cold beveling machines, completely automatic and 100% silenced, do not need any operator involvement (except surveillance) during duty cycle. Once positioned on plate the machine is self propelling, traveling along the plate edge automatically, carrying out the required bevel operation.
This version have been developed to perform bevel on the bottom side of the plate edge, when, due to great wall thickness, welding preparation is required on both plate edge sides (upper and lower). Used in combination with GBC CHALLENGE STD a double bevel (X type) can be achieved.
Topic of the CHALLENGE U is the variable head, this allows the bevel angle to be changed from 22,5 deg. to 55 deg., in few minutes without any additional accessory
Different type of milling cutters for tooth, basic material and hardness are available according with the quality of the material of the steel plate to be bevelled.
