Open Rack Outdoor Harmonic Filter Banks should be considered when power factor correction is desired in a harmonic environment. The filter bank consists of two separate pieces of equipment 1) Reactor Equipment 2) Capacitor Equipment. The capacitors are connected in series with the reactor such that the resonant frequency of the filter equals that of the harmonic to be eliminated from the power system.
