Liquid-filled transformers are designed for industrial and commercial applications such as chemical, cement, manufacturing plants, paper or steel mills, schools, hospitals, office buildings, etc. Liquid-filled units use sealed-tank construction that effectively contains the windings and most live parts in a controlled atmosphere. When specified, less-flammable liquid-filled units may be installed indoors.
