Ultrasonic corrosion thickness gauge with data-logger
DMS 2
GE Inspection Technologies
The DMS 2 is a revolutionary A-Scan Digital Thickness gage/Data Recorder incorporating beneficial performance features, ease of use, and Krautkramer's patented (US Pat. 6,035,717) TopCOAT Technology and Auto-V (Auto Velocity) measurement modes. All pertinent inspection data is displayed to the user on a large high-resolution 1/4 VGA display designed to use direct sunlight to enhance the contrast.
Products Features
- Impact resistant, dust and waterproof housing with rubber field case for tough conditions
- Large LCD with backlight for display of digital readings, A-scans and B-scans as well as the instrument settings.
- Large A-Scan display for signal measurement verification and adjustment
- Dual-Multi mode for thickness measurements on coated surfaces
- TopCOAT method - measurements of the paint coating and base material are determined and simultaneously displayed in one measurement, even when the backwalls are corroded
- Auto-V - enables thickness measurements to be made on components with unknown sound velocities without the need of a reference block.
- 40 hour operation period with standard AA AlMn batteries
- Quick access to instrument settings and functions by user-friendly menus
- Data memory for adjustment data sets with alphanumeric coding
- Flexible data recorder with alphanumeric data input
- Serial RS 232 interface for data transfer to the PC or a serial printer
- Optimum performance with dialog probes and automatic zero point recognition with all probes
- Solve a variety of applications with the most versatile probe selection available.
