Since the end of 2009 the first systems have been equipped with the new SuperSpeed USB 3.0; Georg Schlegel GmbH & Co.KG is now following by supplementing its range of jacks with the SuperSpeed USB3.0 in the Rontron-R-Juwel design.
The successor of the USB2.0 is characterised mainly by a 10 times higher data transfer rate and a significantly improved power supply. The new standard is fully backward compatible with USB2.0 and USB1.1; so USB3.0 connectors can easily be used as highspeed replacement for existing USB2.0 devices.
The integrated highspeed USB jacks of the design prize awarded range Rontron-R-Juwel from Georg Schlegel are available in different versions:
On the rear side the USB port type A is either equipped with a connecting cable or with another USB port of type A or B. The connecting cable has a USB plug/type A and can be supplied in different lengths.
The latest addition to the range of flush-mounted jacks in the Rontron-R-Juwel design is the FireWire jack (standard 1394a) which, opposite to the USB technology, supports a simultaneous data transfer rate in both directions (full duplex). It has a FireWire port 6/6 both, on the front and rear side.
The flush-mounted jacks are ideal for assembly in panels and enclosures, made especially for applications where customer is setting high demands for design and technology.
