Terminal block Georg Schlegel GmbH Co KG
Terminal Blocks
Schlegel terminal blocks are standard terminals for industrial application, particularly for electrical machine controls, for switchgear, distribution and measuring systems as well as for the lift and apparatus construction. They are suitable for both heavy and low current at DC and AC.
The Schlegel product portfolio includes terminal blocks with different connection types - screw connections, spring cage connections and IDC technology (Insulation Displacement Connection - no stripping required!) - and all common nominal cross sections. Schlegel supplies the most advantageous 4mm² screw-type terminal which is most frequently demanded in this size range. Moreover, Schlegel screw-type terminal blocks are the smallest terminals on the market (for the respective connection diameter), referred to their height, their length (at right-angles to the rail) as well as their width (along to the rail). Compared to the competitors' products they ado have a relatively large clamping space.
The Schlegel screw-type terminal blocks (ref.: IK...) are equipped with a wire protecting contact bracket which is pressing the conductor onto the ground of the conductive clamping body by means of the clamping screw.
This system calls the "OSK" - Original SCHLEGEL Clamping System, because it is unique on the terminal block market. The wire protection ensures the so-called "six securities":
- Direct clamping force transmission onto the wire at full bearing of the clamping screw
- Protection of the wire (no piercing or damaging by the screw)
- Secure wire insertion
- No tilting of the connection
- Reliable prevention of wire loosening by the resilience of the clamping bracket and elestic deformation of the clamping body
- Reliable prevention of screw loosening caused by the vibrating clamping bracket that touches the screw head (this makes the screws captive).
