Gear pump for the food industry
Georges BRIERE
Our company has been designing and manufacturing pumps for the sugar industries, mainly for sugar end units, for more than 40 years.
We deal with two categories of liquids :
• Magmas and massecuites (cf the appropriate web page),
• For all other liquids in a refinery, including syrups, molasses, high and low greens.
For the latter, the main advantages of our pumps are :
• They can face and help solving main common hitches (failure of a centrifuge’s basket,…) as they are fully reversible, and as they can pump much more viscous liquids,
• They are highly reliable, as their rotation speed is low, with one seal, on driving shaft,
• Their ratio flow/external dimensions is high,
• They accept variable flows, down to very low rotation speeds, keeping high performances,
• They can run without product for reasonable durations,
• They have steam or hot water injection points in the heart of the liquid, for restarting,
• They are totally oil-free, preventing the liquid from being polluted.
