The base material for sintered parts such as sliding bearings are bronze, iron, iron with copper and other metal powders. This powder is formed under high pressure in dies, then sintered at temperatures which are just below the melting point. According to the working conditions, the bearings can be impregnated with different oils or solid lubricants to be self-lubricating.
