The power conveyor is made from screws that rotate around its own axis, which exerts an axial thrust on material that is contained in the conveyor tube. The power conveyor is made from 304 or 316 grade stainless steel. It is also available in painted carbon steel upon request. The Gimat screw conveyor is made according to the customer's specifications. Special care and attention are given to prevent the powders from entering into the bearings in the thrust block assembly, along with the pulling assembly and those found at the intermediate support when the supply of conveyors are longer than 4 to 5 m. To overcome this problem, GIMAT has designed a special greasable puddening dust seal with automatic recovery of the slack which occurs during operation.
