What makes this Centerless grinder unique is the use of the 8-5/8" *(219mm) wide grinding wheel, equipped with super precision hollow roller bearings, which results in more efficient cutting, superior surface, longer dress and wheel life. A 6" (152mm) diameter 8-5/8" wide regulating wheel also equipped with super precision hollow roller bearings provide robust control on material being ground. This machine is equipped with a 9" (228mm) diameter grinding wheel.

Recent test grinding 12 foot 1" titanium bar-stock resulted in total tolerance of 0.0005", with material removal of 0.006" per pass. Diameter roundness measures of 0.000050"(0.001mm) are easily achieved on this machine.

Touch screen Computer interface controls stepper motor driven upper slide for extreme slide positioning. A laser gauge is can be tied into the computer controls which sends back dimension to the controls which automatically compensates for size variation. The system's two independent slides, which control the regulating wheel and the blade that holds the part being ground in place respectively, provide significantly easier set up than competing systems on which the two slides are latched together.
