The laser system has the benefit that it has an equal brightness across the line (uniform brightness) and has a simple user adjustable focusing control. The Guideline laser is compact and rugged system that can be used by anyone with no previous technical laser experience.
The Guideline laser has a line profile that provides an even laser power from end to end. The uniform intensity line provides the user with an increased visible line which is beneficial in alignment applications, especially on visually demanding surfaces. Conventional lasers tend to use a Gaussian line profile where the laser fades towards the ends.
