Seafarer GMI

The seafarer product is the culmination of several generations of GMI sampling systems, it has been designed to monitor gas levels on board ships and many other applications. This system pumps potentially hazardous gas from a number of sample points, sighted where the positioning of conventional gas sensors may not be practical. This may be due to equipment security, cable routing, access for detector head installation / maintenance in harsh environments.
Gas samples are sequentially extracted for a variable time period by a central control unit via up to 48 fixed sample lines. A high rate of sample is pulled by the main pump and then a reduced rate sample is passed across the sensor device to enable a fast response to hazardous conditions. The central unit provides gas level readouts with two alarm trip points per line, providing a range of signal outputs to the annunciator and for control functions. The system also can provide for remote displays where several different locations need to be aware of the system status.
