The OL 480 serves as an accurate, variable temperature (100 to 1200°C) blackbody calibration standard. It is extremely useful for calibrating infrared radiometric and spectroradiometeric measurement systems. The OL 480 has an emmisivity of 0.99 ± 0.01 and an uncertainty in the digital temperature readout of ± 2°C.
