Spray-booths are purposed for automatic or in combination with manually painting of work pieces, usually immediately after shot blasting. Considering to the transportation mode we distinguish two basic types:

- Horizontal type for plates and profiles

- Vertical type for various constructions and frameworks

Transport of the work pieces is normally continuously, same the motion of the spray guns, which is assured with one or two-axes manipulators. Necessary number of the automatic guns and relative velocities are predeterminated by the project, separately for each example. This way assures the coating equality and suitable film thickness on surface of the work pieces. Considering to the big consumption of the painting material, especially by big work pieces, is necessary to find a good solution for preparation and distribution of painting materials.

Beside the quality of the paint application is necessary to assure the suitable exhaust air purification. It means, not only keeping back of solid particles, but also solvents and thinners disposal. There are dry or wet filtering systems, for solid particles, but for organic vapours, we can use thermal and adsorptive exhaust air purification system.
