The RHEOTENS ONLINE is a fully automatic and continuously operating on-line tensile tester developed on the basis of the lab system RHEOTENS. RHEOTENS ONLINE, in conjunction with the on-line Capillary rheometer MBR, is the first on-line testing system providing both shear and elongational information.

As with the known laboratory system Rheotens, the polymer strand is being drawn under constant acceleration. The stress/elongation test can be performed within freely selectable test frequencies. The system offers most possible safety in operation.

Die characteristic measuring units like maximum tensile force Fmax ("Melt Strength") and the finite elongational ratio "lambda" (extensibility), are continuously monitored and can be evaluated statistically.
