High precision linear guide GSF
The TLR is part of the precision roller-bearing based linear rail family of products. This product is ideally suited to high-tech applications demanding telescopics with precise motorized movement and requiring constant smooth sliding performance with no play.
The Intermediate element comprises an S-shaped profile to which the roller units are fixed. The height of this element confers high load carrying capacity. MR rails with profiled convex roller tracks constitute the extending elements.
The rollers are precision engineered to make contact with the rail on three points (as opposed to the usual two points of contact achieved between ball-bearings and thir associated ball track, being one element that confer high rigidity vs lateral forces as well as vertical.
The slider roller units are produced in pairs, one pair of which is fitted with rollers that are self-aligning. This reduces the accuracy of engineering required on the equipment onto which the slides are to be mounted, making these linear slider products a highly cost effective means of achieving a precision engineered sliding system.
The roller design ensures smooth extension and very high levels of movement accuracy even in applications needeing variable telescopic strokes, where traditional ball-bearing based drawer slide technology encounters friction based breakdowns due to ball cage rephasing.
The load carrying capcity stated for each slide pair is based on the maximum dynamic load that can be carried. This is a more onerous test than for most ball bearing slides where load capcity is based on the maxium static load that can be carried.
