Solenoid ball valve
RRV® 95 series
GSR Ventiltechnik
Together with the licenser DLR, a valve has been developed, as it has never been offered on the valve market before. The RRV® Rapid Reaction Valve.
According to the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) in Cologne the RRV® Rapid Reaction Valve was developed as a control jet for orbiting satellites. It was a highly reliable valve that delivered the smallest amounts of pressurised gas and thereby controlling the satellites movements.
The valve was further advanced during trials in a high-vacuum chamber, where defined gas pulses were released into the chamber.
Today, the RRV® Rapid Reaction Valve is a solenoid ball valve with a special function. The difference between the RRV® Rapid Reaction Valve and other ball valves is that a magnetisable ball moves laterally from the seat of the valve using a magnetic field.
The closing process takes place solely due to the stream of the medium. An additional feature and advantage of the RRV® Rapid Reaction Valve is that the response times are realisable wihin milliseconds.
Furthermore, media of high viscosity such as glues, oils and adhesives can be delivered.
Application areas are e.g.: dosing technology, dosing of adhesives, lubrication technology, deformation technology, automobile industry, filling industry, dye and varnish industry, pharmacy, food industry and biotechnology.
Due to the fact that the valve is very small it is pre-eminently suitable for robotics applications.
