Hydraulic deep drawing press
HAEUSLER
Starting from a flat round plate, the dishing press allows to form the dished end's big radius, by pressing the plate between 2 dies. As the size of the changeable dies is limited, the forming process consists in repeated pressing strokes, with intermediate displacement of the plate. For this purpose, the dishing press works in combination with a manipulator that automatically moves the plate between the press's opened dies till the complete plate has been formed.
The press consists in a rigid closed frame construction absorbing all resulting forces within the frame. The press table holding the bottom die is screwed to the frame. The ram consists in a hydraulic cylinder installed in overhead position, holding the upper die.
The manipulator is a base frame off welded steel construction holding driving and guilding rollers as well as hydraulically movable frame swivelling support roller arm. With a combination of the various movements, the plate's position and angular position is controlled semi-automatically for easy one-man operation.
