SPANNTOP chucks generally work based on the pull-back principle. The clamping head is coupled to the draw mechanism. The clamping cylinder pulls it via the drawtube into the taper of the chuck body. The link between the drawtube and the draw mechanism is the drawtube adapter. The drawtube adapter and the spindle flange are custom made to fit a specific machine.
SPANNTOP chucks are balanced.
All clamping heads have a slot for the locating screw.
All SPANNTOP chucks have stroke limits in both directions.
Rigidity, concentricity, ease of change-over - those are the extraordinary characteristics of SPANNTOP. And not only is this system developed by HAINBUCH incredibly simple to handle, it is also good for your bottom line.
SPANNTOP can be used on a wide variety of different machine tools. These include turning and milling centers, gear cutting, grinding, rotary transfer, or friction welding machines. In short, anywhere where holding power, rigidity, precision and ease of change-over are required.
