Description

Textile hardness tester to determine winding density of wound bobbins of synthetic, finished fibers and filaments. The indentor of the durometer has according to the wounding density of the bobbin an 2.5 mm, 5 mm or 10 mm diameter ball. The measuring force is according to shore A regulations. The spring loaded outer ring assures a constant measuring pressure and eliminates false readings due to difference between operators. A damage of the bobbins will be avoided, by the ball shaped indentor. The working face is slightly curbed for small bobbins and flat for bobbins with a diameter of more than 400 mm. Adjustable minimum/maximum indicator marks highlight the working range of the textile durometer.
