With an integrated permanent solenoid, polarised solenoids of open or closed design make it possible to realise short switching times with low power intake. Depending on the design, briefly energising the coil is sufficient to move the armature into the opposite end position, or from the starting or end position. Depending on the polarity of the voltage, the magnetic field is strengthened, weakened or completely cancelled out by the exciter coil.
