Road heading machines which utilize cutting heads with bits used primarily for the development of mine workings or tunnels.
The road header may be fitted with a telescopic cutter facilitating the penetratin of the cutter head. Depending on the material to be cut the cutter head is designed as a cross or longitudinal head, the arrangement of the picks being adapted to the materials to be cut.
