The modular components such as flange, extension slide, tool holder and boring head can easily be assembled to single- and twin-cutter tools or combined to a roughing - finishing tool. Clamp bases together with insert holders for different insert sizes and geometries permit efficient roughing in different methods. For highest adjustment accuracy of the precision boring head, the scale screw is mounted on the same axis as the cutting edge. The diameter adjustment is carried out either directly on the scale or over the easily accessible bevel gear from the side.
