The photovoltaic cell is the base element in the manufacture of a photovoltaic module: for this reason Helios Technology has the best technology to produce 156 x 156mm mono and poly crystalline silicon cells with a respectively efficiency up to 16,5% and 17,5%. The row material, utilized in the productive process, is the high purity mono and poly silicon wafer, that is then transformed into a solar cell thanks to a chemical-phisical process. Such process is fully automated and controlled in every single phase, thanks to in-line and off-line measuring instruments performing on samples basis. Thanks to an appropriate software MES (manufacturing excution system) is possible to guarantee 100% of quality control, traceability and productiove improvements, to every single step, until the cell is ultimated. In order to guarantee such high quality, the following tests are performed:
- electrical tests at 500-1000 W/m2 (STC)
- very restricted current range classification in orderto minimize the mismatch,
- Isolationresistance measurements in dark conditions in order to prevent Hot Spots events
- several visual camera checks in order to obtain aesthetic uniformity
