Lamella bellows for machining centers
SAMURAI
HEMA Maschinen- und Apparateschutz
The SAMURAI bellows are a further direct development of the ELASTIC bellows and offer effective protection against fast, extremely hot and sharp-edged objekts.
The SAMURAI concept
Why would a manufacturer of industrial products call a product range SAMURAI?
HEMA developed the first SAMURAI bellows in 1980 and then had them patented in important markets in 1983. The idea was to open up new markets and areas of application to traditional bellows, by equipping them with efficient, lightweight and sensible protection in the form of lamellas. The lamellas act like the armor that Japanese Samurai warriors wore in previous times.
For almost seventeen years, HEMA has been producing SAMURAI protective systems, using bellows with lamellas for high performance applications in widely diverse industrial areas with the advantage of having produced more than 50,000 SAMURAI bellows, HEMA has acquired extensive expertise, which is available as a knowledge base in the search for new solutions to customers' problems. The efficiency of this series is enhanced by our own continuous new development and adaptations derived from customer orders. The SAMURAI bellows are a further direct development of the ELASTIC bellows. The basic concept corresponds with that of the ELASTIC bellows; here also, a PVC frame is incorporated into every fold to guarantee stability.
SAMURAI bellows are given additional strength by lamellas fastened to the top edge of the folds. In this way, the bellows are effectively protected against fast, extremely hot and sharp-edged objects.
