Concept
Hema presented to the public at EMO 2003 for the first time its revolutionary new generation of dynamic flexible cover systems.
FLEXBOX - a cover type, consisting of lamella U-shaped profiles which are connected through force and tensile elements. Seen from the outside, the FLEXBOX looks like a lamella cover. The view behind the scenes clears the picture and shows that the well-known bellow is gone - a new cover type was created.
It has an easier set-up and is more light-weight, thereby more dynamic. Taken from internal evaluations between a SAMURAI bellow and the FLEXBOX we found a favorable weight ratio of 120 kg : 50 kg, which means a weight reduction of 70 kg. The FLEXBOX is always in positive movements and due to its intelligent design very suitable for HSC linear motor applications.
