The FLEXSTAR aprons consist of aluminium hollow profiles (Hight 5.5 mm width 20.5 mm) which are joined together with poleurethane strips. The alu profiles can be supplied in a rounded shape on both sides (FLEXSTAR-S). Both types can be notched or screwed. FLEXSTAR-S is fully flexible in both directions. Used in an upright vertical position, the gliding properties of both styles can be improved by special end caps. Both hollow profile solutions are produced with precision. This offers optimum protection against spraying or splashing water, and flying chips. Owing to the simple but effective connection engineering between the bars, the profiles can be manufactured economically and put to a wide range of uses. In most cases, link aprons serve as a protective hanging curtain or run over a guide roller to ensure especially smooth operation. They are then fastened by means of a metal strip on the end of the apron. This is connected to the machine. Customers are free to choose whichever shape or drilling hole pattern they want.

In more exacting solutions, the link aprons are combined with a system of roller blinds. Here, the link aprons are rolled up in the same way as in standard ROLLER systems. Of course, this will increase the overall circumference and the dimensions of the tube. The drive unit will be precisely adjusted to the additional weight and forces. All types of link protection can be laid out as a system of roller blinds.
