They operate on the proven "guided poppet" principle and the guide stem requires only one seal. Coils can be replaced or changes to a different voltage and current (AC to DC or vise-versa) while the hydraulic system is pressurized. The 3 way / 2 position (3/2) and 4 way / 3 position (4/3) units can be supplied with poppets having closed crossover switching characteristics.
