Gas permeability measurement device for polymer samples Hilase
Our systems for gas permeability measurement for plastic and rubber samples have simplicity, excellent selectivity, high sensitivity and wide dynamic range. The measurable permeating components include water vapor, hydrogen-sulfide, methane, ethane, carbon-dioxide, BTEX (Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl Benzene and Xylene), ammonia etc. There are two basic forms of our systems; the first one, which is based on photoacoustic gas detection, is optimal for measurements at normal pressure and temperatures up to 120 ° C. The second one, which is based on photothermal beam deflection method, can be used also at extreme pressures (up to 1000 bar) and also at high temperatures. An outstanding feature of our system is that due to the very high dynamic range of the measuring method, it is possible to fit numerically the early part of the permeation curve, which results in a considerable reduction of the measurement time
