The product line netPLC combines Fieldbus and PLC functionality in one chip, integrated on a
ready-to-use hardware.
The netPLC PC-card supports CoDeSys and ProConOS eCLR as IEC-61131 or IBHsoftec PLC as
STEP®7 compatible programmable logic controllers and PROFIBUS-DP master as Fieldbus. The
card transforms any PC into a full-sized automation platform for a safe and independent control of
the decentralized peripherals. Shifting critical control processes into the card enables the usage of
the full PC resource for data-intensive visualization, data saving and logging purposes.
Depending on the PLC an OPC-Server is included in the delivery. Programming, configuration and
diagnostics are performed via the PCI system bus. Servicing from remote via a USB port is also
possible.
24 V additional powering supplies the card in case of a PC power loss and guarantees continuous
operation and maximum availability of the controlled system. The battery included in the delivery
buffers the real-time clock and volatile key process register in case of a total power loss. In case
the hardware fails, a memory-card slot enables moving the loaded data into a spare unit in seconds
with a microSD card. A switch to the front of the panel allows the comfortable change of the logic
controller’s mode from outside.
