Multi-protocol fieldbus gateway
EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus
HMS Industrial Networks
The Anybus- X-gateway® family consists of over 180 certified and proven industrial gateways connecting almost any two industrial networks. The X-gateway is a simple, easy to use gateway connection real-time Ethernet networks to almost any fieldbus.
Real-time Ethernet protocols supported:
* EtherNet/IP scanner or adapter
* PROFINet IO Device
* Modbus TCP slave
* EtherCAT slave
* HTTP Server
* FTP Server
* Telnet Server
* SMTP Client
Fieldbusses supported:
* Profibus master or slave
* DeviceNet scanner or adapter
* AS-interface master
* CANopen slave
* ControlNet adapter
* CC-Link slave
* Modbus RTU slave
* Modbus Plus slave
* Interbus slave
* FIPIO slave
Slave to Slave Gateway:
Many applications need to take two disparate independent networks with each having its own master control and allow them to exchange data. This happens where two PLCs need to exchange information. The X-gateway helps to accomplish this by acting as an I/O slave device on the fieldbus and Ethernet networks. Each master/client writes to the output table of the X-gateway on its network and then the X-gateway maps this data to the input table of the opposite fieldbus or Ethernet network where it can be easily read by the other master/client.
Master to Slave Gateway:
Many applications needs to interface field I/O devices to a controller that has a different fieldbus or Ethernet protocol from the I/O. In these cases, the X-gateway serves as a fieldbus or Ethernet master on one side while acting as a fieldbus or Ethernet slave on the other. The I/O data is polled from the field devices then mapped into the I/O table of the controller.
