The use of normally open, leakage-free poppet valves ensures that brakes also close safely if there is a power failure.
In the area of brakes HOERBIGER hydraulic power units from the ranges H300, H400 and H650 are used from the standard range.
The brakes to be actuated are passive safety brakes. This means that the brakes are opened (vented) and kept open against a spring force. For the braking procedure the oil is discharged to the tank via poppet valves. In this way the brake can close by means of spring force. The use of normally open poppet valves ensures that brakes also close safely if there is a power failure. Passive safety valves are used in a variety of areas, e.g. as
- Stop brake and/or retaining brake on chassis,
- Wind energy plants, - Lifts, - Lifting gears, - Slewing gear, - Blowers,
- Turbines, - Saws, - Winding machines etc.
There are different variants depending on application, e.g. hand pump and/or emergency actuation on the poppet valves.
With these options the brake can also be ventilated even during a power failure.
