5X80 Honeywell Scanning and Mobility

The 5X80 decoder module combines a compact, lightweight optical module and decoder board to deliver an easy-to-integrate decoding subsystem that is ideal for most data capture applications.

The 5X80 utilizes the latest CMOS industrial grade image sensor technology, illumination, and optics partnered with advanced decoding software to read linear, stacked linear, and matrix bar codes. In addition, these imagers can read and decode OCR fonts and capture digital images.

Support for standard serial and USB interfaces eliminates the need for hardware modifications to existing platforms in most cases. The small size and low current draw of the devices allow the modules to be integrated with minimal mechanical modifications, and 100% solid-state industrial-grade technology enables 5X80 series engines to withstand 2,500G of shock and sub-zero temperatures.
