Due to the scarcity of primary energy sources, the increase in polluting emissions, the growing energy demand and the increase in population, a reconsideration of the structure of our energy production and supply system is absolutely compulsory. One possible solution to the problems mentioned above may be provided by hydrogen. In order to obtain energy, hydrogen can be burned directly or used in a fuel cell; in both cases the environmental impact is minimal (the only emission is water) but in the second the advantage lies in high performances.
The fuel cells are devices that allow you to transform, without any combustion, the chemical energy of the fuel directly into electrical energy.
The hydrogen within the fuel cell is combined with air oxygen to produce a molecule of water and electricity.
