HYTORC
The stationary tool stops the inner sleeve of The HYTORC Nut™ or the HYTORC Washer™ from turning when the nut is being turned at a known bearing face friction. The stationary bolt is elongated throughout its free length, literally hands free and to the desired load without torsion or side load. The lack of relaxation permits loads from 35% to 90% of yield, while standard length bolts are in order.
Consistent Bolt Load Accuracy
When used with The HYTORC Nut™, the XXI is the only tensioner in the world that achieves a consistent bolt load accuracy of ±5%. In tests performed by independent testing agencies, it was proven that the bolt load variation from nut to nut can be as high as ±51%. In those same tests, under identical conditions, the XXI was able to tension the same number of nuts with only ±5% variation in bolt load.
