ANSYS ICEM CFD MED
ANSYS ICEM CFD has a Modular Philosophy. There are moduals for each of our mesh professional generators and for post processing. There central modual that ties these all together is "MED" and it is included with any of the other moduals. Originally, MED was an acronym for "Mesh EDitor", but after a decade of development, it now includes translators, geometry creation and editing tools, Mesh Diagnostic and Mesh edting tools, scripting tools, and output professional interfaces and Post Processing.
With hundreds of solvers being used for CFD and FEA, the philosophy behind ANSYS ICEM CFD's integrated structure is to provide the user with a single environment ideally suited for all grid generation requirements. The ANSYS ICEM CFD Mesh Editor (MED) is just that, all wrapped up in a nice, easy-to-use, modern interface.
