Contrast and colour sensors in industrial processes
For automating operations in the manufacturing and processing industry contrast and colour sensors are gaining more and more importance. In practice applications are almost unlimited. They range from identifying and sorting coloured objects through to checking coloured surfaces. Often there is a colour in the object which can be picked up, if not a mark can be applied easily. Colour detection systems are more reliable and powerful than the human eye because errors caused by tiring, subjective colour assessment and slow response times just don't happen.
