Marks and colours
ifm electronic offers sensors for colour detection. They can monitor up to three colour marks at the same time.
Glass and film detection
Counting glass or PET bottles or reliable web-break monitoring of clear film can be carried out using purpose-built retro-reflective sensors.
Heat
Heat sensors are used for temperature monitoring in hot areas, for example in the steel and glass industry, or for the position detection of a hot object too hazardous for a standard sensor.
Contrast and colour sensors in industrial processes
For automating operations in manufacturing and process industry contrast and colour sensors are gaining more and more importance. In practice applications are almost unlimited. They range from identifying and sorting coloured objects through to checking coloured surfaces. Often there is a colour in the object which can be picked up, if not a mark can be applied easily.
