The igus new generation TwisterChain® is designed to accommodate higher loads and operate smoothly and quietly. The newly improved TwisterChain® is more flexible due to its modular width height and radius, allowing it to rotate up to 540°. It has a rotary speed of up to 1 m/s. It is 25% lighter than the previous TwisterChain® and has a more polished interior. It has a snap open crossbars in the inner radius. It is tested successfully for over one million cycles in the igus laboratory as of March 2010. It is commonly used for general mechanical engineering, robots handling machines, packaging and glass machines.
