Self-lubricating plastic plain bearing
DryLin® R igus®

Sliding Instead of Rolling

DryLin® R linear bearings work through the use of sliding elements, in contrast to the design of recirculating ball bearing systems. In practice, these iglidur® elements made of high performance polymers can be manufactured from all iglidur® materials. Thus, the DryLin® R linear technology has the advantages of all of the different iglidur® bearing materials. iglidur® J is the best material for most linear applications because of its excellent wear and low coefficient of friction. Therefore, DryLin® R linear plain bearings are designed using this material.

The Most Important Properties of DryLin® R Linear Plain Bearings:
- maintenance free
- dirt resistant
- lightweight
- extremely quiet operation
- resistant to corrosion
- high static loading capacity
- resistant to shocks and vibrations

DryLin® R linear plain bearings are designed for dry running. Dirt, dust, and other abrasive media are not drawn into the bearing surface by grease or oils.

In contrast with the recirculating ball bearings, The performance of DryLiny® R bearings is not effected by the length of travel. Therefore, there are no restrictions on minimum stroke length for DryLin® R linear bearings.
