The new X-ray source is called Flash x and is based upon a new type of combined pulsed high voltage generator and X-ray tube with features that include "high Q pulsed operation" enabling ultra fast images to be captured on an X ray CCD camera.
This snapshot facility allows Flash X technology to be used to considerable advantage in a variety of industrial applications including conventional X-ray radiography, airport security, flaw detection in food products, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and of course military or security applications.
Already we have established a separate company to exploit this remarkable technology and are already manufacturing a range of high speed radiographic flaw detectors and screening systems call "Sentinel".
