Many manufacturing processes involve either the heating or cooling of products, and it is essential for operators to be able to monitor the operating temperature of critical areas of the process. In many cases it is not possible or practical to use thermocouples. e.g. the object is too big, is moving or precludes contact measurement. The IRISYS on-line imager makes all these tasks simple by providing 256 temperature measurement points without contact. The information from the imager can be transferred to a controller and thresholds can be added for alarm activation. Typical applications include alarm monitoring and process control applications in the glass, steel, rubber, plastic moulding and petrochemical industries.
