The mGuard smart² from Innominate impresses with maximum security and performance in the smallest space. It has never been so easy to reliably protect computers, machines or any other IP connections critical to a company's operations from attack.
The mGuard smart² security appliance combines the extremely powerful new mGuard hardware platform with the reliable mGuard firmware. Based on a hardened embedded Linux from Innominate, this combination integrates four complementary security components: a bidirectional Stateful Firewall, a flexible NAT Router, a high-security VPN Gateway and, optionally, industrially-compatible protection from malware.
With its sturdy housing and the uncomplicated power supply via any USB port, the mGuard smart² is perfectly suited to the portable protection of resources critical to a company. Thus changes to the location and the infrastructure can be performed quickly and at low cost.
The mGuard smart² is supremely suitable for portable and stationary protection of workplaces and environments close to production with low requirements for industrial hardening. Perfectly positioned as an intelligent firewall between office and production networks, as a secure remote maintenance client, or as a security router for small workgroups.
For software-independent remote maintenance scenarios, the mGuard smart² can be used as a portable VPN client and as a temporary VPN connection for secure machine remote maintenance via IPsec-encrypted VPN tunnels.
