Corresponding with IEC 61496-1 and IEC 61496-2, these light curtains for securing danger zones are especially suited to situations where body protection is required for the operator. Resulting from the installation height of the 1st light axis, different models are available with access security heights of 900, 1100, 1200 and 1500mm. According to the model, the number of light axes varies between 2, 3 and 4 beams, wherein a range of up to 25m is assured. Through special DIP switches, devices can be set very quickly and easily. These can be found behind a covering of the receiver unit located on the front side which can be opened using a screwdriver. This way, the system can be configured to the safety requirements. Apart from the functional selection of manual or automatic resets, it also allows the selection of muting or partial muting.
Muting is a time-limited automatic bridging of the protective function with additional sensors. These differentiate between persons and objects. By means of this function the objects can cross the protection field without the protective function being set off. Along with all control switching circuits, all inputs and outputs are located inside the housing. Thanks to the compact dimensions, simple connection and installation systems, the light curtains in this series offer optimum protection in all industrial safety applications.
For the faultless connection of the security light curtains to cut-off circuits of machines and machine components a maintenance-free security relay is available as an accessory.
