IRISYS People Counters are used worldwide where reliable and accurate data for retail analytics is required. The People Counters are available with a range of outputs, ranging from simple relay output to IP enabled for Ethernet connectivity. The People Counters work by using a downwards-looking Infra-Red thermal sensing array. This uses a ‘Thermal Imaging’ technique to detect the heat given out by people passing underneath; seeing them as ‘hot-blobs’ moving by. An internal algorithm detects the blobs and performs the calculations necessary to count the people. All calculations are carried out inside the detectors.

The IRISYS Counters have the following features & benefits:

• Networkable; up to 30 counters can be linked building-wide.

• Works irrespective of lighting levels (will work in complete darkness).
