Electronic motor starter

The electronic starter built into ISGEV motors can be used to progressively start threep h a s e a s y n c h r o n o u s m o t o r s w h i l e l i m i t i n g c u r r e n t a b s o r p t i o n d u r i n g s t a r t - u p .
The microprocessor-controlled drive performs the following functions:
* Jerk-free and smooth accelerations, decelerations, running direction reversals and dynamic braking, with
reduced mechanical stress.
* Start-up with torque and current control or with voltage ramp.
* Reduced inrush current and voltage drops.
* The by-pass contactor inside the starter cuts out the power circuit (SCR) after the motor has started. This
significantly reduces the dissipated power.
* Boost during start-up can be used when the initial torque is inadequate to overcome the initial friction forces,
generating high motor torque during the very first instants of the start-up phase.
* Constant torque is applied when rapid acceleration is required, thus protecting transmission parts against
wear (transmission belt slippage, etc.).
