The Forkardt PLD (Pitch Line Membrane) membrane chuck is primarily designed for the series production of transmission components. The chuck offers a flexible solution for hard turning and grinding operations where repeatability, interchangeability and concentricity are required. The key to the design of the PLD is the simplicity of the quick-change system. Two versions are available, the more traditional front access and the new MIR external clamping. A coolant supply through the spindle and workpiece system control can be offered on request.
