The model KV Case filling machine, with side product infeed, packs bags or packs vertically into pre-erected cases, trays or crates.The bags or packs are conveyed into the machine, from the side, lying flat. Servo pushers then transfer the packs, in groups of up to 4, with each group forming a row or layer in a pre-positioned display case or tray, which will have 1, 2, 3 or 4 facings. The case or tray indexes downwards as each layer of product is transferred, until it is completely filled. A new case then indexes into position, as the filled case exits onto the KV machine outfeed conveyor.
