The Case filling machine KF - gravity principle - collates bags and drops them by gravity into pre-erected cases, trays or crates. The bags are conveyed, lying flat, onto a dividing conveyor. The dividing conveyor transfers them onto two discharge flaps, so that bags take up a two-wide format, with bag positioning assisted by stop-fingers. The flaps then open and the bags drop by gravity into the case. After a case has been completed, it is discharged and an empty case brought into position. Where layers are more than two bags wide, the case is indexed back-and-forth underneath the release flaps as the bags are dropped in.
